Well the laughter isn't dubbed as it's recorded in front to of a studio audience (a coleague went and hey held up cards telling them when to laugh!) but I agree, it is a funny as piles, might have been funny in the 70s, possibly

you will find that the audience laughter is usually over dubbed with additional laughter to create a larger/fuller audience sound.. as are many comedies filmed in front of live audience.. been to a few myself, usually Radio comedy quizzes.
