Working, yesterday I worked from home, today I have been to Jubail and back to the office in Khobar, tomorrow in Khobar and Tuesday back to Jubail.

However, if I had been in the UK I would have organised a big family BBQ as I did for the last Jubilee in 2002.

Gawd bless 'er Royal 'Ighness!! :D When you look back at some of the inbred idiots who have ruled various countries in the past (including our own), we should indeed be very grateful to have such a great human being as our "leader". I wouldn't go as far as to say that she can do no wrong, but she has certainly done a lot right! 8-)

Must admit, I've been pretty glued to the telly most of today  and now watching all the Queens Horses. We do the pomp and circumstance incredibly well, even in the pouring rain - the British stoicism  (I call it madness in those weather conditions! - much better watching on telly than standing out in the rain  lol)

Well I think it should be "big up to Mrs Queen"!
She is 86 years old and from watching I think she was on her feet for well over four hours! I reckon my parents who are younger couldn't do that or even myself!
But the best compliment from me goes to the singers on top of that last barge, the orchestra was dry underneath but they had an hour of rain before their final choral tribute.

.....And so, after yesterday's washout (didn't watch, though I have seen the news), we turn to this evening's concert outside Buckingham Palace, where those three rock granddads get wheeled out, messrs McCartney, Jones and Richards (sadly Cliff, not Keith :( ) - Excuse me if I don't bubble over with excitement. - Apparently, we are told that 'something' will happen on top of the palace again. Let's hope it's not the Queen, flinging herself off the rooftop as Cliff belts out Congratulations. - Last thing we want on Diamond Jubillee weekend is to be scraping her majesty off The Mall.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brian May's frizzy locks rose like a Phoenix out of the ashes of embarrassment to restore some sort of credibility to the proceedings.........Cue the National Anthem,......although I may be completely wrong. :?

That's why I'll be watching (through gritted teeth).

I haven't seen any of it on tv, apart from a couple of pics in the paper, and i am not planning to start now, it just doesn't interest me :)

Wish we could have used the money more sensibly(£13m) like creating jobs and getting people back into work that have lost their jobs through the recession! :| apart from Mp's and ****ers. :)

As I've said, I'm glad that many people are enjoying the celebrations, but could not much of this have been paid for out of the Queen's own gigantic bottomless purse?
