Just got in from Motorhead Gig at Manchester Apollo, First up where Girlschool with a half hour set, 30 years on and they can still rock hard, did a brilliant version of Race with The Devil. :D

Next up The Damned, very poor, but then i never liked them the first time round. Did a 45 minute set and to be honest it was 40 minutes to long, although i did quite enjoy the track Eloise. :(

And finally the main event, Motorhead, just like Ronseal, it does exactly what it says on the tin. an absolutly blinding gig, ace of spades, bomber, overkill, metropolis, stay clean, whore house blues and storming version of Twisted Sister's Shoot em down. i've seen motorhead every year for the last 12 years and this year they were Tighter and louder than ever, roll on next year. :'( :'( :'(

Hope my hearing comes back before the Alice Cooper Gig on tuesday.

Just back from The Reasoning at the Globe, Cardiff - the first gig with the new line up including on keys and vocals, a certain Tony Turrell

Thenew line up is jus fantastic, and with a tour in spring 2010 and a new album in the writing, the New YEar looks bright for prog... and if the new years is anywhere as much fun as the gig, supported by Acoustic Zepplin in a last minute change due to an "exploding drummer", then its going to be an excellent year...!

Rock On..

I was at Holmfirth Picturedrome last night to see Steve Hackett and his excellent band , Roger King,Nick Beggs,Gary O'Toole,Rob Townsend and Amanda Lehmann ......Rich has already stated how good they were at Bilston and I will second that.......a great set list featuring 4 Genesis Classics, a stack of Steve's most well know tracks and 6 ( out of 8 ) tracks from the new album.......a 2 and a half hour set list that flew by..........Terrific

:)
