What a superb album that was, thanks for the reminder Andy I Will have to give that a listen, its been years since I heard that .

I love it
Separate Ways is a stunning track.
I liked it as it was rocker than other Journey albums and had a bit of attitude

I saw them a couple of times in the UK in the last few year and was very disappointed as the sound was attrocious. I even confronted the sound man at Wembley and told him that the band should fire him !

I'm sorry for not being able to select a top ten... it is just impossible for me. If you were to ask me which ten albums I'd take on a desert Island I would be capable of wanting to swap some food for the rest of my albums :-)
Most of these albums have followed me everywhere on each continent I've lived on, so in no particular order...

Marillion - Fugazi/ Clutching at straws/ Script
David Bowie - Earthlings/ Alladin Sane
Murray Head - Say it ain't so
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Lou Reed - Berlin/ Rock'n'Roll Animal
Def Lepp - Hysteria
Eagles - Hotel California
Supertramp- Live in Paris
Genesis - A trick of the Tail/ Selling England by the pound/ Genesis
Pendragon - Pure/ The window of Life
Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
Alan Parsons' Project - Pyramid
Pink Floyd - Animals/ DSOTM/ Meddle
Fish - Vigil/ Suits
The Cure - Galore
Depeche Mode - Black Celebration/Violator
Black Country Communion - 2
Led Zepp - difficult
Lloyd Cole & the Commotions - Mainstream
Peter Frampton - Frampton comes alive
The Icicle Works - The Icicle Works
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Pronounced
U2 - The Joshua Tree/ The Unforgettable Fire
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Pack up that Plantation/Southern accents/Full moon fever
The Waterboys - An appointment with Mr Yeats/ Fisherman's Blues
Manic street Preachers - Send away the Tigers
Thanked: 3

Must admit, I was undecided between The Crossing and The Seer (and still am! :? ) Depends what mood I'm in. - Also don't know why I listed Avalon Sunset - Van Morrison. :? There are several Van albums I like more. Just goes to show that we can never have definitive lists that we are always happy with.

Yeah, on another day all the Big Country albums would be there. Even the less favoured ones ( recently read a Stuart Adamson biography where he slated Peace In Our Time as an album, but felt that the individual songs were strong in themselves). I know I don`t have to sell Big Country to you though. :D

I loved Big Country and i was well into heavy rock/metal at the time . . . . I just think good songs as they had many of just stood out whatever genre you were really into .
