We can only hope, but I wonder who put the track up for release, Fish or the current incarnation of the band, or the record company?

The record has been put together by EMI.

As it's part of the RSD, indie record stores have first dibs on the release.

It's unlikely (though not impossible) that it will appear in the Fish shop.

When will EMI stop cashing in on Marillions greatest period :?
Has it been released in this form before ?
Over to you Rab ;)

No Never been released in this Form Andy, Grendel(studio version too) has only ever been on the 12" Market square heroes Single.
So Basically EMI are cashing in on the Fair deals studio version, and the Reading Festival version, both of which have been released already on the "Script for a jesters tear 24 bit remasterd album(cd)", and "The Early stages 6 disc boxset" respectively.
Also before this, the Reading festival Grendel version was unofficaily released on the Marillion vinyl bootleg Album "The Game is Over", with the cover encompassing two American baseball players :? the album is taken from the reading festival itself, but does not contain the the full set as performed on the day. :D
Thanked: 1

Still debating whether to or not Andy? i actually grudge paying money to EMI to help them out, if i know there will be contrbutions made to Fish, Mick, Steve, Mark, and Pete then yes i would, but if this is soley for Emi then i will not, as this is just Profiteering at the artists expense. :x

Yes, agree. I'd far rather walk to Haddington and purchase a copy direct from Fish himself.

As it goes, I also have nothing to play it on, but it would be a good addition to my vinyl collection.
