Just ordered my copy of the Arc Of The Curve download. The payment side was totally hassle-free, although once I confirmed my order, Firefox stalled completely. Looks like it could be a browser issue, though, since I cut and pasted the URL into Internet Explorer and it went straight through to the download page, where I have just grabbed all the files.

A little frustrating, but certainly not the trial by fire some folks have had. Might be worth tipping off the download company they may have browser-specific 'issues', though!

I downloaded with Firefox and had no problems.

Because Proboards are not cross browser compliant.

The download for Mixed Company hasn't been corrected so it's still short of the Childhood tracks, nearly two months after it was first posted in this discussion. I downloaded it having not read the posts, and have emailed Mark at Dare regarding the missing tracks but had no answer. It's a great idea for people that don't have the CDs but I'll be more wary next time.

After I posted back in February that some of the tracks were missing, I sent an email to Mark at Dare but got no response. Hopefully the tracks will be added eventually.

I just downloaded 13th Star.

The process was a breeze. Smooth from start to finish.

Gotta love technology.

this has nothing to do with fish downloads, but....
i'd just like to say god bless the age of technology and the world wide web for without which i'm sure most of the members here (myself included!) would be lost. prime example - fish tours! we fans abroad never knew if or when the big fella was coming to town. news was hard to come by (it was within my circle anyway), but now so easily accessible! :'( online downloads are just a bonus!

the web is a great thing... but also a bad thing....

remember the days when you used to coem home it the evening, put the kettle on and switch on the tv...

not come home , log on, check your emails, then get round to that cuppa.... then spend the rest of th eevening payng your phone bill, or phoning up the call centre in india cos your anti virus software is playing up????

technology is great... look at blackberries..
my boss got one I told her she had given away her life...

her reply "No , I control it. I wont get carried away - by the way I'm at Lisbon airport, checking in for my holiday flight to Brazil"...

yeh.. right...

Yeah, well, you have the wrestle the rhino.

We (our family) enjoy the benefits of technology, but as a rule we don't allow phones or email control or interrupt.

Don't get me wrong, in the past the rhino was winning.

After a concerted effort over the last 3 years we have reduced the household to only one working adult (I drew the long straw and got early retirement) and one car.

We have more time than ever for everything. We break bread each night as a family. While that doesn't sound like it should be unusual, I can tell you in America, the notion of the entire family sitting down to a meal they made with their own hands is a dying tradition.

If your boss hands you the blackberry because you are so "valuable" ... you just turned your life over, man.

I have time to write, time to educate my kids, further educate myself and relish time and relationships ... without wrestling the high tech rhino that is not always easy to accomplish. I see it all around me.
