At last

What we have all known for 30+ years

The Classic Rock Awards gave the Best Lyricist Award to Fish :D

This led me to think that as far as i know lyricists are not usually given awards.

In my mind Fish is head and shoulders abover everyone else. Only Neil Peart comes close.

Yes, I was one of the co-presenters of the Awards, and Fish was this year's Special Guest, basically opening the envelopes and handing over the awards. That made it interesting, as he couldn't exactly present it to himself! Fortunately Andy Tillison, whose idea this new award was, was on hand to do the honours.

The latest Fish Blog on Fish-heads has quite an extensive write up of his experiences on the day, and he has some very kind words for us. He was a top man, absolutely tremendous.

PS - note, it's the 'Classic Rock Society' Awards - the 'Classic Rock' awards were something quite different, and much more 'shiny' :)

See my other thread about the CRS and the Big Man...
