Limericks!

hello everyone. having partisipated in the 3 word never ending story, it seems to be loosing its oomph so i thot, why not start something else!! LIMMERICKS!!!! . THE USUAL 5 LINES, RHYMING IF POSS. was thinking along these lines
There was a young man from Haddington.... but not sure if that works! or
There was a young man fron Dalkieth..... same thing there!! so
There was a young man who wrote songs........ OR
There was a young man called BOB..... Any takers?????

A pink and white cat named Arcade
Who was absolutely mad about lime marmalade
But he could never go far

The second line was okay, but it could have done without 'absolutely'. Again, too long for a limerick.

I had a much ruder one lined up but Zazabi was being too nice to you !

Arcade rhymed nicely with Laid and Spayed You should be pleased you ended up with Marmalade.

And surely you shouldnt be allowed to contribute to a limerick about you. Tut tut

We wasn't being nasty to Zaz! - The Comment was tongue-in-cheek. It was a good limerick!

On returning from warm foreign climes
