Both are correct. Mongolia is South of Russia. But its a huge country !
Its East South East of Rostov.

Not sure of the relevance of Rostov, it's not exactly a brewery with a long heritage and I can't imagine many people in the east had heard of them before the Scandinavians got involved, the locals certainly didn't have much good to say about it.The new Baltika is very popular though, especially the N8 & 9
"Baltika has eighteen breweries, eleven of which are located in Russia : two in Saint Petersburg and one each in Khabarovsk, Tula, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Yaroslavl, Voronezh, Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk."

Ah the old wikipedia quotes once again! I prefer to go from my own memory and experience of life in South Russia.

Prior to the acquisition, which saw the European Brewery industry carved up between S&N and Carlsberg as they fought for the country with the largest beer sales in the European continent. Batic Beverages Holdings, a Norwegian/Finnish/Russian consortium bought up several independent breweries in the cities you mentioned above. In 2002 it was Donskoye , famous in the Rostov Area for its Don Piva range of beers, which had greater sales than Baltika, and was around 33% cheaper than Blatika. But after the take over, also in 2002, due to S&N and Carlsberg taking a 50% share each in the company, and following restructuring, the local brews were stopped, with all breweries in the group producing only the Baltika brand.

Don Pivas , No 2 - 9 , which were infinitely superior to Baltika, therefore disappeared from the face of the earth, thanks to those damned Scandinavians who would not know a good beer ( sic. lager) if it hit them in the face at 3 yards.

I'm not sure where BBH stand now, but there were frantically buying back shares in recent years , but also Carlsberg bought more of the company from S&N

Another great beer sadly spoiled by corporate grown. The original brewer, in Qingdao, established by German settlers and brewing to german rules, tastes nothing like the soapy version we get over here, as it comes from the TsingTao brewery just outside Shanghai, which does not have the fresh water source they have up north, and imports a lot of the raw materials from wherever :(

If you visit China and put the Qingdao version next t the Shanghai version, you can really tell the difference between the two..

There is nothing wrong with Wikipedia. I believe it is probably the most useful website on the net. Its certainly an excellent initial source for an awful lot of information. I agree that not every page is 100% correct and some pages need to be updated, but then what reference source is 100% accurate?

Anyway on with the game. I believe the pub crawl is stuck in China..........

from Pakistan - the only beer i ever came accross that gave you the hangover half way down the bottle that ended when it was finished.

You could only get it in your hotel room once you signed a statement saying you were not a muslim and were only drinking for medical reasons..
