Help with UK Accomodations

We've never had an opportunity to see Fish in the States so DH and I are traveling from the States to see Fish in Barnsley, Crewe and Newport. It's very difficult to find maps of Barnsley and Crewe to see where everything is. Any recommendations on where to stay in any of these cities? We are trying to find places relatively close to the concerts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That depends on what kind of accommodation you're looking for. Hotels? Bed & breakfast?
I'm sure we call pull together and find you some web sites to look at if you give us an idea of your budget/preferences.

In Barnsley, we've looked at Tankersley Manor (116.50 GBP w/bkfst), Barnsley Travelodge, ARdsley House Hotel (100.00 GBP w/bkfst), Brooklands Hotel (120.00 w/bkfst). As far as I can tell, Tankersley Manor is closest to the venue -- is that correct? Is there somewhere better for around the same amount?

In Crewe, the Crewe Arms Hotel (78.00 w/bkfst), Travelodge on Alsager ($94.22 USD). The Alexandra Guest House was a link on the Limelight's website, but I can't find anything about it (reviews, etc). What about the Waverley Hotel or the Ashbank Hotel? Any ideas?

My parents live half a mile from the club at Birdwell (the Barnsley gig) so I know the area fairly well. All the hotels are good and Tankersley Manor is the closest (couple of miles). However, half a mile from Tankersley Manor is a Travel Inn (like a travelodge), situated next to a large pub/restaurant so meals aren't a problem. The rate is just under £50 per night, quite a saving especially as your coming all this way (more to spend on beer and merchandise).

We've booked to stay at the Travelodge which is a couple of miles away, but we got a room for £26. That deal might just still be available, so try the website. If you do get in there, let me know - at least you will be OK to share a ride after the gig.

BTW - is that Matt Gehrke? Who I once sent a picture of him on stage with Fish in London?
