An update from Rich's Dad:
"Rich had a settled night; still on ventilator and battling to overcome the chest infections, with staff varying the mix of anti-biotics. We and Rich are in for a long haul and are very grateful for your support."

Some better news from Sarah:

positive update today! Rich is off full sedation and on his way to being
fully awake Chest infection is Nealy gone the drain which was
left in after last weeks bleed has been remove, this mean that he is
stable with that now .......................

tomorrow may bring
more news on the ventilator and life support being disconnected we will
know more after doctors rounds...

he smiled at me today and understands where he is but wants to move his
head about which must stay still until they can access his neck and
back, keeping him still is not easy!! we have said blink once for yes
and twice for no.... He has the yes correct but nods his head for no!!
...
