As for the Electric/Acoustic debate I'd rather have 2 nights of electric but if just one then I'd add my vote to making the Saturday night the Electric night/party night then make Sunday a chill-out day.

Some people seem to be assuming that the album launch means a full live play though of the album. I don't know what is actually planned but I was assuming the album would be played over the PA for everyone to hear, that's how most of the album launches I've been to in the past have worked.

I'll probably be alone here, but I've never had any sneak previews of new Fish albums, before actually sitting down and listening to the full thing in the comfort of my own home. I kind of like that too, so I'm hoping that he just plays a few new tracks and holds some surprises back.

Sorry, that may have come across wrong, I'm not particularly talking about Fish I've been to a number of launch parties mostly for much smaller bands and as a rule they've been a bit of a party with an album playthrough.
Like 13th star we should all be getting a bit of a sneak preview with Fish on planet rock anyway :)

personally I think it would be really cool to have the new album played over the PA on one of the afternoons, with Fish on hand to chat and answer questions on each song as we go through them.

Totally agree Tosh. Apart from my personal circumstances being suited more closely by this arrangement, I also think it would work better from a "whole weekend" point of view. For a lot of the people coming from up north, monday will be a work day - so it would be preferable if the big deal (i.e. the new album launch) was on the night that everybody can attend. Then again, maybe it's part of Fish's plan to keep as many people as possible there till the sunday night? Makes sense I suppose! 8-)

thoroughly enjoyed the sausage, yeah, it didn't have real ale which would have suited Tosh better ( and me) Yes, it was challenged shape wise for a bad but they had a good time, and we had a good time.. There was plenty of space, specially since we could use the courtyard, which had to be used for the smokers anyway. You could hear the band perfectly well, it wasn't a gig, you didn't have to stand a watch them, it was more of a party with a band playing...

Tosh wasn't for "Jump" in the first place, preferring I believe to go watch another band near by.. cant remember who.... but that's ones own choice... least I certainly recall Tosh saying he was going too, I don't know if he did< i cant be bothered to trawl the forum to double check... , I was having too much fun enjoying myself and meeting a lot of other like minded people who were doing the same ... :D
Jump enjoyed it and had no complaints, and as far as I recall most others enjoyed it..

It wasn't a main part of the weekend but an add on for the early arrivals, and very welcome indeed.. an very nice "ease me into the weekend" afternoon and evening, and I think the Sausage coped very well with the hoards of fans, more than expected, who descended upon it on a warm summers afternoon and evening.

However in saying that, if we do have the same umber of Friday arrivals, then certainly, it might be better to find a bigger venue, if something official is to be put on. and it woudl be nice if it did real ale.. ( for me and Tosh)
