thats it! brothers and sisters alike, one big happy family! :)

Huge thanks folks, feeling a little less anxious now; not that i was bricking it [well, maybe tiny bricks then], but I do feel a bit over-awed by big crowds, however happy and hassle-free they are.

When we go to Festivals, I always have a blast eventually, but it takes me a few hours to get grounded and pick up the vibe a bit. Never had ANY trouble at the fests we go to, tho, always a big happy family indeed.... ;) :)

Fixed! ;)

Where are you staying Stella? Wherever it is you will probably find that there are quite a few Fish fans in there too and often that is the easiest way to touch base with a small number of fans rather than just walk into the Assembly and try to introduce yourself to everyone!

Some people are easily recognisable and nearer the time you may well find forum regulars making more specific plans for meetups. Several people will be going down on the friday even though the "official" convention events will probably not start until the saturday lunchtime (ish) there will be small (and larger) scale get-togethers on the friday afternoon and evening.

Leamington Spa is a great town for a convention like this, as it is small and compact - easily walkable - with a good range of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, hotels, guest houses, parks, etc. Everywhere you go on convention weekend you will see Fish T-shirts, which is quite weird! :D

As Bob says though, still ages to go and by then I'm sure you will feel like part of the furniture here (in a good way!) and may have even met some of us in person! :o ;)
Thanked: 3

Mega-thanks, Conan! Bricks getting ever smaller....  .

Haven't decided where I/We will be staying yet [or even whether it IS 'I' or 'We' ... birrova thorny topic just now  ], but will do some research as i suspect all the cheap and popular B&Bs, Hostels, Hotels etc will fill up fast...

Love and peas,

Stella x

Definitely! I wouldn't leave it much later if I was you. Some filled up months ago! Remember that Warwick and Coventry are pretty close by (a short taxi ride away) and have plenty of accommodation too.
