Hi, sorry not been around for abit- the odd bit on fb, but, went to my sis for 10 days re-hab, and came home, sorting out all sorts of stuff- back to day job last 2 weeks, will never forget the support I was given on here-trying to get on with things now- up and down, but ok. Looking forwards to conv!!!!!!!!!, and a new grandson arrived sat morn- little boy, Milo 'ANDREW', thanx again, all of you.xxx

Last Friday my father (he is 81 years old) could leave the hospital where he was for ten days. Years ago he had a problem with his prostate. They diagnosed cancer . They could help him with radiotherapy. Some weeks ago he told my brother and me, that he has to go to the hospital again. They have found something at his right kidney. They resected this and it was malignant. The doctor told us that he is healthy now ("aus menschlicher Sicht") from a human point of view. We are glad that he is back at home . My mum isn't alone anymore .

And what was the first what he have to do after his return. He wanted to go to his favourite supermarket, to bought some foods for the weekend. I had the honour to accompany him. You never know what could happen.

My elder daughter, who is 16 next week, was in hospital on thursday. She has been having "digestive problems" for a number of months. She had an ileocoloscopy (camera shoved up her bum) and numerous biopsies taken. The examination (fortunately) eliminated Ulcerative Colitis - but she has to wait for the results of the histology tests to find out what is causing the problems. Still in the hunt (and current favourite) is Crohne's Disease... but cancer is also a possibility.

Imagine having all that hanging over you while you sit your GCSEs!

Like Ulli says - you never know what could be round the next corner. Always take those opportunities to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you - you never know how long they will be there for.
