My elder daughter, who is 16 next week, was in hospital on thursday. She has to wait for the results of the histology tests to find out what is causing the problems. Still in the hunt (and current favourite) is Crohne's Disease... but cancer is also a possibility.

Imagine having all that hanging over you while you sit your GCSEs!

And her dog had to be put down this weekend too...

It sounds like your daughter is having a bit of a bad time indeed. Still it must be comforting to know she has a great mam and dad to support her through this.. and I am sure with the positivity you will be passing onto her she'll sail through the exams and hopefully the diagnosis is not as serious as first feared...... fingers crossed things take a positive turn for her, and of course yourselves..

Sorry to hear more crap news Geoff, I hope your daughter is getting better, she must be really sad to have lost her pet, poor thing, difficult to cheer her up I suppose.

She was at the osteopath yesterday (for a sore shoulder). He is also a naturopath (sp?) and gave her some advice regarding diet. As someone who virtually lives on bacon, and cucumber is the only plant-related food she eats, she was gutted to hear that she needs to eliminate salt from her diet and eat more fruit and veg! Big changes ahead...

So, to cheer myself up I am buying another bass guitar
