Apparently Bruce has had the last laugh at his DUblin show this week !

I know quite a few people who went to the various Hyde Park gigs this week.
Apparently there is also a an agree limit on noise levels which results in lower than normal sound.
Hyde Park is a crap venue unless you're lucky enough to be near the front in the gold circle.
The "residents" who object to the music and seem to have so much power are those that live in neighbouring Mayfair and Park Lane (the most expensive are of London and the UK). These people can afford to get noise insulation in their multi million pound residencies.

Re: General Chat Thread
What is the point in having any sort of music event in a park next to a built up Residential Area, where anyone knows there are going to be restictions regards to the concert finishing and the decibells at which the artists can play their music ? I know money is behind this, but who in there right mind would have thought this up in the first place
Sounds like a lot of companys nowadays Low Quality for Mass/Quick Profit

Most of his digs were at Dublin Council, who fined him a substatial amount after his gigs in 2008 over ran..
strangely.. this time, his gigs finished well inside teh curfew..... LESSON LEARNED Mr BRUCIE....

Re: General Chat Thread
was back into London again today.... Left even earlier than Wednesday, ( which I left an hour earlier than usual, no mean feat with the train service we have round this neck of the woods) , and of course, what did we get completley crowded trains as everyone else had been forced to shift their journeys earlier because of London 2012 Olympics.
Tube, even more crushed. More delays.
Despite leaving an extra hour early on top of the already 1 hour earlier than normal , I arrived at same time as I did on Wednesday,
There were so many passenegers at some of the tube stations, they actually had to close them for safety reasons.
A lot of very unhappy London commuters I can tell you.....
Oh well the Games start tomorrow evening and before you know it , it will be all over bar the shouting!.....
But I did get to chat to a young lady from Welwyn who sptted I was playing Fish on my Playbook, and she asked if that was Fish from Marillion.... guess her name.....
No, it wasn't Kayleigh.
She was named Lavender, After Marillion's version of the song....
sweet...

Yeah i do, all with holes in em
Seriously though, its a one off for me. I put them in the category of bands to see before your to old or they are
Obviously though, never got round to seeing them as they didn't come to these shores very often in the past, so i thought what the hell its a one off, you just got to see them before they stop touring.
GLASGOW SECC £60.00p + £6.00 booking fee (more angry at the booking fee
