I usually hate hip/hop, rap or whatever JayZ counts as, but I saw him supporting Coldplay at Wembley last year and he was great. I bought Blueprint 3 and some of it is really good :)

Only just got around to buying Driving to Damascus by Big Country. - The last album before Stuart Adamson died. - Some of those ballads honestly brought tears to my eyes. So prophetic. - 'Your spirit to me' is just beautiful. - I honestly think they are one of the most under-rated British bands of all time. Without doubt the best live act i ever went to see. Adamson's guitar skills were second to none.
I realise I hold the key to freedom. I cannot let my life be ruled by the bloody threads on this Forum.

I'm not a big rap hip hop fan but as with other genres of music there are always some tracks that are really good.
I love Empire State of Mind. That led me to listening to other JayZ stuff. Listening to whole albums can be a bit much but he's quite good and I can understand his popularity. He has had something like 10 number 1 albums in the US !
I also like some Eminem stuff. "Lose Yourself" and "Stan" are great songs. He is very clever lyrically.

I have to agree with the thing about Eminems lyrics. Clever and topical.

Bob, I hope that's a replacement copy due to you wearing the old one out?!
