6 small roundabouts around a big roundabout !

Technically the HMLHMPSTD ""magic roundabout" is not a roundabout , as it has traffic both ways on the main circle. It is by definition a circular road with 6 mini-roundabout junctions, which is why it failed in its bit to get into the guiness book of records for the most roundabouts within a roundabout ... 8-)

Quoting Jasper Carrott (Robert Davis)
"Hello Florence!" said Dougal....
Opening to the best Magic Roundabout I know. It wasn't really the "A" side (i.e. what it sold on) but the other side was..wait for it..."Funky Moped". Yes Really. Even got on Top of the Pops. Funky Moped/The Magic Roundabout (DJS 388, 7 inch single, DJM Records 1975)
Got to #5 in the charts.
The 7" vinyl may still reside at my parents! Must be worth all of a whole English pound!

Although your car may have a bitchin' system, mine is used to get me to work and back and out at the weekends. The radio does me fine for 20 mins each way and the weekends. When you think about it, for the time spent in the car its an expensive thing. But If I used public transport it would take me an hour and a half plus each way to do the same trip each day to work ( ) ! I balance 40 minutes v 3 hours+

I hear you Jon, but it's something that me and my brothers have always done. It's fun fitting these things. You could say it's a kinda hobby we have between us :D

I drive a Chevy HHR, affectionately known as "The Speed Pumpkin". I have a bit of a lead foot, and shortly after purchasing this vehicle, I received a speeding ticket. Apparently I was going 90 mph in a 55 mph zone.

It only has a 3.2L 4 cylinder engine.

When we bought this car, I was looking for a vehicle that wasn't ordinary-looking. I had seen other HHR's, but when I saw the orange, I knew that was the car I had to have. What I have found is people either really love the orange color, or they hate it.

I love the burnt orange colour of your 'speed pumpkin'! - Looks quite roomy too. You wouldn't be 'squashed' in there! ;)

I originally posted this on 26 Aug 2010 but we still have the same car...

We have a Mazda 5 Sport, ours is the same colour as this, a sort of silver pale green:
mazda5sport.jpg

It's supposed to be a 7 seater but it's really 6 plus a tiny one that a 6 month old baby might just fit into. We bought it because it can convert to lots of different seating arrangements including a 2 seater with a humungous boot that Zeroram can fit ladders and/or loads of huge boxes into. It has tinted back windows and a tonneau to hide interesting "steal me please" boxes with DELL printed on them. The back doors are the slidey type and it's been designed for 2-parents-plus-kids because the front seats have aircraft-type dropdown meal trays built into the backs and between the 2 "middle" seats is a handy space with a net for keeping toys and stuff in. This is the alleged 7th seat.
Even with all 7 seats up, there's still room in the boot for a couple of suitcases. It's a bit like a petrol-driven Tardis.
Comfy ride, reasonable music system and not overly thirsty.
