 I like your use of the word "only" there!! In the UK that would count as a MASSIVE engine!!

chelsea tractor, but sadly a symptom of America's love of the motor car, and low gas prices...... now if only a president was so brave as to put an 80% tax on gas, and a 100% reduction on pavement ( sidewalk) construction... oh and like Denmark , a tax on "fat foods".... :D

Posted a pic of my car on here in 2007 when I managed to drive it up a steel stantion. Still got it and just been relieved of £1,700 in tyres and servicing in the last week. Ouch!

For those that didn't see the pics the first time round, here they are again.

And yes, I did feel a complete idiot stood in the car park waiting for the recovery truck to arrive.

We have a Mazda 5 Sport, ours is the same colour as this, a sort of silver pale green:
mazda5sport.jpg

It's supposed to be a 7 seater but it's really 6 plus a tiny one that a 6 month old baby might just fit into. We bought it because it can convert to lots of different seating arrangements including a 2 seater with a humungous boot that Zeroram can fit ladders and/or loads of huge boxes into. It has tinted back windows and a tonneau to hide interesting "steal me please" boxes with DELL printed on them. The back doors are the slidey type and it's been designed for 2-parents-plus-kids because the front seats have aircraft-type dropdown meal trays built into the backs and between the 2 "middle" seats is a handy space with a net for keeping toys and stuff in. This is the alleged 7th seat.
Even with all 7 seats up, there's still room in the boot for a couple of suitcases. It's a bit like a petrol-driven Tardis.
Comfy ride, reasonable music system and not overly thirsty.

Thank you for that Tiff :D

yes, powerful due to the Engine management system, and a 2.0L diesel engine...... and one of the most fuel efficient cars you can purchase with very low C02 emissions - reflected in its £30 a year road tax... :p

£30 road tax !

That seems rather unfair. You still use the same roads as everyone else.

Personally I think BMW drivers should pay more road tax for tail gating and flashing their lights in the fast lane on motorways . They think they own the fast lane so perhaps they should pay for it !!!!

You pay road tax accordign to how much you pollute... ;)
Our Smart Car is £20 a year.
but we do make up for it with the MX5 which is £260 I think... :(

i can say the same about Merc, VW, Vauxhall, Ford, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai and all other makes of vehicles on our roads, being equally as guilty of tail gaiting and light flashing. Hope you get over your BMW neurosis soon. :)

As a regular commuter on the M25 I hate to say that BMW drivers are the main offenders although recently Audi drivers are going the same way.

I will whittle this down to male BMW drivers in the south east. ;)
