We tend to go abroad every other year, so we'll probably be holidaying in this country this year, and getting pissed-wet through in the process!

As I've mentioned before, I love my hiking, so hopefully repeated trips to the Lake District and the Pennines will be in order. Well, I say hiking, but it's more like an elongated pub-crawl in muddy boots. ;) :-/
I realise I hold the key to freedom. I cannot let my life be ruled by the bloody threads on this Forum.

Just came back from Slovenia watching GB in the (division 1) World Ice Hockey Championships. Annual trip to "wherever" in Europe to watch the team, and have made some great friends from some of the countries visited over the years.
Off to Gdynia in September to vivist friends who I met (many years ago) on a hockey trip.
October/November (after Lemington) off to Malaysia to see my sister who lives there (only see her every 2 years).

Having just been to (and fallen in love with) County Cork at Easter, we are going back there in October. The week before the convention.

We also fell in love with Cork especially the coast all the way from Kinsale down to the furthest point west.

Me and my family will take a breath of scottish air the last week of August, From Edinburgh through A'Ghaidhealtachd, highlands.
Far too short, Can't go everywhere and see all, but I expect it will be great and we have the chance to see beautiful sceneries and meet nice people, can't wait ! :groovy:

Road planned with the little help of Mwelljester, Flight and B&B's along our way are booked, except the last night in Edinburgh and the car rental.
Happy me ! :-P

Scotland, lovely country... Pack your midgie net, mozzie repellent, and umbrella. ;)

Strictly speaking, However, there is no such place as A'Ghaidhealtachd ... This means the Gaelic language, or refers to those who speak it... But commonly misused by non Gaelic speakers in error to mean the highlands... ;).

I dont speak gaelic, but did learn for my mistakes using it in a lecture i once gave im Aberdeen about my great great grandfather,,, and was gently informed afterwards of my error.... Never forgot it.,,,,,, :(
