Yes !!! :D

docbob wrote:Strictly speaking, However, there is no such place as A'Ghaidhealtachd ... This means the Gaelic language, or refers to those who speak it... But commonly misused by non Gaelic speakers in error to mean the highlands... ;).

I dont speak gaelic, but did learn for my mistakes using it in a lecture i once gave im Aberdeen about my great great grandfather,,, and was gently informed afterwards of my error.... Never forgot it.,,,,,, :(

Don't worry Docbob, I knew that : that is exactly why I took care to mention "highlands" just after A'Ghaidhealtachd, and my intention was exactly to talk about both culture and landscapes. It was not at all an error.
Happy you mention it clearly ;)

If you're out in the wilds of Scotland Marie, you could do with some sort of large stick to defend yourself against rampaging herds of Sporran and rabid packs of Highland Haggis. ;)

Thanks Marie, though I'm happy with the one I have. It seems to fit, and also reminds me of a wonderful weekend!

Silke and I will visit France. First around Toulouse. Non stop flight with Air France to Toulouse after the new Berlin airport is opened. Then by car around Toulouse and visit the Airbus plants! After that to Paris! on the way to Paris we will cross the Millau bridge. Maybe from Paris a TGV trip to Lille ( ;) ). Back at home after 11 days. Realy looking forward!

Did anyone see those Japanese tourists on the news, arriving by the coach-load in the UK, to look at a field of Oilseed rape?! - They were all rolling about in it and taking photographs because, as one of them pointed out, they hadn't seen anything as 'yellow' in all their life. - I found it quite amusing.

Trouble is, living opposite a field of Oilseed rape, I'm inclined to point out how utterly revolting it smells, so I wouldn't advise any sort of rolling, or indeed getting within twenty metres of the stuff. - Much rather see a traditional field of corn, but hey, if it brings the tourists in, all well and good! :D

We had wheat last year at the end of the garden... Winter rape this year for a nice bright change amongst all this dreary rain......
