Fish in Southampton.

My connection to Fish is obscure...

In 1980's I got a lift to work (in Basildon) on the back of a BMW motorbike from a guy called Jack who was in a band called Chemical Alice (what a memory for odd facts I have). He used to play at various rock festivals. Did borrow a record of his band, can't remember it, but do remember and went on to buy the record from their ex keyboard player, Fugazi was the record...and the rest is obvious.

I presume that you knew that Mark Kelly was once in Chemical Alice.
I remember seeing him when he first joined Marillion. Just before Pete Trewavas, I think ???

and then they asked you in the farm shop if you qualified for pensioner rates

Hi All, Just joined the forum and that, I was at the Brook on Mon night with a friend of mine to see the big man, we also did the fishheads accoustic one last time, must say it was awesome, Fugazi, forgotten sons and Assasing from the old days along with Vigil and more, It was Awesome, just booken my accomodation for the Convention in Warwick as LeamingtonSpa was a bit booked.
The big man was awesome along with the band, didn't put a foot wrong, well almost!! I forgive him for forgetting some lyrics even if I didn't! I wanted to get my Misplaced and Assasing Tattoos out cause I'm so F**king proud of them and just have to tell everyone what they meant to me, way back then and now and always and forever!!!
See you guys in Leamington Spa!!!

Monday night was awesome, hadn't been to see Fish for a long time, and even managed to get Brother-in-law to turn up at last minute, which he paid £19.50 on the door, when I paid the same in advance, bloody service charges .
Anyway the night was brilliant even with a few nervous starts and mistakes, but who cares, it proves no ones perfect, just wish that when people pay to see a live band, that they shut up and listen, instead of annoying everyone with her constant chatter.
can anyone remember the full set list, as i've got most of them but poss. in not the right order.

Hello richsfc and haplo welcome!

haplo, what about this one?

Set list for these shows clocked in at an hour and 45 in rehearsals but with Fishy jabbering and incidental music it's been over 2hrs 15 in Southhampton and 2.20 last night in Bath!!

"Perception of Johnny Punter" launches the show followed quickly by "Credo" and "Assassing" that sit well together early doors."Long Cold Day" is the first song where I allow myself an intro.

"Moving Targets", "Brother 52" and "Square Go" are the next 3 in a row before "Vigil" is intro'd and takes on another energy form in the electric set up!

"Innocent Party" rocks out before "Dark Star" gives us a breather and then "So Fellini" and "Openwater" slide the tempo up again.

Frankie unleashes the magic on the whammy bar on "Cliche" and then the welcome return of "Forgotten Sons" closes the set with a revitalised attack.

"Fugazi" reigns as the only encore and brings the curve home.

Anyone know how to get tickets for the Southampton June 1st gig? The link from the show list works fine but Fish isn't listed at The Brook . or not yet, at least.
