Sorry - Thankyou
Long live democracy!! Excuse me guys, forgive me Fish, but he would not be another critical .... and unfortunately I have not read all the previous posts, but I do not think I am, or the Italians, to claim too much, but perhaps a little self-criticism would not hurt. Ok. Finish and not bother you anymore. Sin to be regarded as a troublemaker rather than a fan of long standing that for once there has been bad ..... I'll be there no matter what happens, good luck again. sincerely. francesco

Re: Things you always wanted to ask Fish
Francesco, I realise that you may find it difficult to put your exact feelings into English - but I don't think you realise how hurtful your comments are! Frank has played with Fish for over 30 years and is a close friend as well as his "go-to" lead guitarist. To criticise his playing and professionalism is a low blow as he is not here to defend himself!! The late, lamented John Martyn described Frank as his favourite guitarist - and praise doesn't come much higher than that!
To say that something is not to your personal taste is one thing, but to condemn out of hand shows very bad judgement.
Nobody is above criticism, but there are ways to do and say it. Also, if you have read Fish's recent comments you will realise why your criticisms are very badly timed.

I want a drink, I want a drink. To take all the dust and the dirt from my throat. I want a drink, I want a drink. To wash out the filth that is deep in my guts.... I want a drink.

Well said Conan, Frank Usher is one of the most underated guitarists in the rock world, i defy anybody who has ever seen Frank in action to disagree. Just listen to the solo he play's on the live version of cliche or the guitar work on the 13th star album, it's just sublime. My 10 year old son has been learning to play guitar for the last year, and even though he's not keen on Fish's music, (he's more into Linkin Park and Green Day) even said what a brilliant guitarist Frank Is.
And yes everyone has a right to their own opinion, but when that opinion upsets and offends people then it's time to shut the hell up.

Francescoje,
I think you may have inadvertantly upset some folk simply because you hadn't took the time to check your original posts. Although the topic was hijacked by Alextul, it was clear what you wanted to say:
And to summarise Fish:
Now I don't think that you particularly meant to cause trouble in this case, but please take care that you happened to drudge up a topic that had been addressed. The fact that it was a topic you started suggests you either didn't read your original topic though losing track or couldn't be bothered.
On the flip side - you've sent Christmas wishes to the Fish and also positive vibes about the book. But please, if you are going to comment on the music or musicians here, then at least try to use some constructive argument of context. Just stating, "Italy wasn't good. Fish should get rid of his current band members," is a fallacy of epic proportions.
Just remember - if Fish was the kind of guy to panic and make knee-jerk decisions at the first sign of trouble, you'd be listening to a very different artist right now.

For me fantastic show and playlist but Franck and the keyboardist not good....
And to summarise Fish:
It wasn't a great gig in the end but it was pretty good under the circumstances.
As I said we would have preferred to have gone out with a bang but after the highs of Leamington and two great shows in Holland and Germany there had to be one in the sequence that fell a bit flat.
I was sorry it was the last show in Italy.

Re: Sorry - Thankyou
Oh, and moved from the "Ask Fish Something" topic as it wasn't actually asking anything.
