I fully understand.
This forum can become addictive and can get in the way of work and life in general.
Illness, job worries, relationship problems, family etc all need to our number one priorities.
As with all things its a balance.
Good luck to everyone having a difficult time at the moment.

Excellent post, and I would like to mirror those thoughts.
I haven't been here too much, mostly because I have a really busy schedule, but other than that everything is quite alright.
I hope everyone going through rough times pulls through, and you find a balance. :)

Excellent Gary, if Hadders is anything to go on, then you'll see how much the 3 F's have expanded their set list from the show you saw in North Hykecam. They're on fire!!! Trying to get to Dumfries but not sure yet!! Cheers!! :D :D :D
You'll charm them with that smile.

I too will be spending less time on here at the moment as i had some very upsetting news about my mum's health yesterday.
As much as i love you guy's and think of you as my extended family, my own family and especially my mum have to take priority at the moment.

Sorry to hear about your Mum Mate, really do hope that everything works out OK....after similar problems over the last couple of weeks, my own Mum's health is beginning slowly to improve.....

Keeping my fingers crossed for you

:)

Thanks Gary, glad to here your Mums on the mend.

I agree, in the main.

I also think there's perhaps a time in your life when, having moved on, you return to revisit influencial things in your life. That seems to be true for me, anyway. I was an avid Fish/Marillion fan when I was in my teens & early 20s but I moved away from it, soon after Fish left the band. Although I bought his first solo album, I stopped bothering after that - can't remember why - probably because he ceased to be as 'commercial' as Marillion was and, in those days I didn't have the resources to keep up with what was happening i.e. the internet was pretty new and I didn't have a computer at home. Now, however, everything is accessible and, when a "Marillion" seed was planted in my mind I looked up what had been going on with Fish (not the original band as I don't think they are now a patch on what they were when Fish headed them - in fact, I think 'rubbish' is the word I'd use, but that's just my opinion). I ended up here, almost going back in time as Marillion as it was came along at an influencial time in my life. And it certainly set the scene for some of the music I listened to then - and still do.

What goes around comes around, eh? ;)
By the time I've learnt everything I need to know, it'll be too late ...........
