Sponsor Fish

Postby Moston on Tue May 24, 2011 9:07 am

Not all of us are FB friends with Fish so some may have missed this...

http://www.justgiving.com/Derek-Dick-Fish

Fish is walking the West Highland Way with a group of intrepid adventurers and is hoping to raise £5,000 for The Turbo Trust.

Remember the outpouring of support on here re Elspeth's granddaughter's plight? - well this is a great way of supporting the work that will benefit people like her directly.

So...if you haven't already please consider sponsoring Fish a few £ to help him reach the target of £5,000 - so far it's just under £1200.

If you've seen the weather forecast for next week....er....he could do with some 'financial encouragement' to help him through the rain/wind/snow/sleet/fog/ash :D

Every penny helps.

Great cause, but I feel a bit sad that it hasn't been publicised on here.... :(

Donated last time and will do so again. Every time I look at my own four year old daughter I thank my lucky stars...

It is a good cause, and will be donating, but my little grandson has severe problems with both eyes- I know some of you have seen his is picture, the good one,but he will need glasses, and probly an operation-6months old-so, if his Mum wants 'nice' glasses, he will have them, any spare cash i have will go to them, but, yes, i will donate.
As soon as you realise, I'm perfectly happy, if I'm left to decide the company I choose.

Hi Everyone, on behalf of my daughter and Eilidhbear I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart who have donated to this very worthwhile cause - to date we have raided £5k and there is a lot more to come :D :D .

All of the 20 walkers are ready and up for the challenge and I only hope that the weather will be kind to us, I am looking forward to catching up with old friend and make new ones who are joining in for the first time.

We leave on Friday at high noon and my granddaughter and one of her friends who also has SMA are hopefully (weather permitting) coming to see us all off.

The Company are the greatest people I know :D :D

If anyone wants to check on our progress there will be daily updates on Facebook (The Whizzy Way Land Walk)

THANK YOU ONE AND ALL

Elspeth -

I'm sure everyone will agree that we just wished we could do more.

Well said, Simon, all we can do is our bit.

Only just seen this, but will definately donate something. - Best of luck to all the walkers. I'm a keen hiker myself, and to be honest I really enjoy walking in rain, but I'll hope it stays fine for Fish and folk! :D

Did it as well - and now I´m sending all our sunny weather, clear air (hope nobody needs to take a hoover ;) ) and blue skies (now deep dark and lots of stars) up to Scotland!
There is a crack in everything - this is how the light gets in.
