And yes, I agree it's not as faceless as some forums, although the only other forum I'm part of is also a pretty personal affair as I've known a lot of the people for quite a long time. That said, I feel I know most of them much better - and have met up with some great friends - than I know anyone on here, but I guess that's because I've not been here as long :)

We know that wasn't your intention Sharon! No offence was taken. :D - Well done for starting a new topic of conversation. :D

You should be scared as I understand that they are armed but legless

Thanks for this topic - I bet it all made us think.

We could do with a few more controversial topics on here occasionally.
But as Maxpower correctly pointed out some of us often have to deal with "life stuff" so we can only get on here occasionally for a bit of welcome relief before getting back to real life

Good comments Conan, I must admit, after being on here for quite a while now, I started to feel left out lately- maybe my fault-maybe not-lets keep things going, and just have fun.
As soon as you realise, I'm perfectly happy, if I'm left to decide the company I choose.

I can appreciate the sentiment. It's the ebb and flow of forums to be honest. Things were slow over at Mike Portnoy's forum until Dream Theater released a new single and now it's posts-a-go-go!! Same here when the tour begins again and the new album is released. I joined around the 13th Star time and it was jumping then!! Although I do tens to lurk more than post.

But LOOK! we're on 3 pages already! :D

Nothing wrong with lurking now and again. - I do some of that myself. :)

Depends where you do it. A few weeks ago I was looking for some new camping equipment. I tried quite a few but in the end I just couldn't decide between the last two. I wanted to spend some time in each, by way of an extended road-test kind of scenario - but after an hour or so the police moved me on....
Spoiler:
They said that I was "loitering within tent"
