I was once again trapped in legal shenanigans and a long discussion with a friendly and cooperative Indy record label took me down a leafy nostalgic path to the days of retail and "real"record companies.We discussed the current problems both with my present situation re the 3rd party releases and the general state of the music business.By the end we'd pronounced it dead and agreed that my current modus operandi is the only real solution left to artists of my ilk.
The information I received on the circumstances and numbers involved with the "Exile" and "SFTM" releases cued a talk with my lawyer and a plan of action which will be instigated tomorrow.

Communications have been flying back and forward and I at last got a chance to talk to a stage director/writer /producer who is interested in creating a live theater/stage production of "Misplaced Childhood". The ideas are really exciting but it's very early stages and a lot has to fall into place before we move anywhere near forward. it's not a Fish performance rather involving actors/singers/musicians and players from outside my realm of operations and me getting involved in creating a narrative thread/screenplay to tie everything down." A necklace of carnival lights" so to speak!
As I said it's early stages but a highly interesting project that's in discussion.
I spent a whole sore neck on the PC going through publishing calculations and at last have a breakthrough that should enable me to tidy up a large historical segment and allow me to move forward and consolidate elements that have been in dissaray for quite a while and that have been niggling me to the point of exasperation. It's brain numbing stuff and I hate dealing with numbers and calculations.Give me words to work with any day!

Now the salmon has settled and I do too with my Redbush tea in front of the fire where I am about to embark on my first visit to the "Game of Thrones" as the lovely, caring, attentive Elspeth bought me the box set of the first series today!
Found it tough dealing with the FB pages today as Jim Brownlee's face stared at me everytime I opened the screen and I didn't know what to write as my next entry.
