The Leamington Convention - updates on tickets and events

Postby Fish on Wed May 23, 2012 4:02 pm

I decided not to take merchandise out on these dates as I had nothing new to offer and as it is only 6 shows I deterined to go instead with a flyer with information on what is happening this year and pointing people at the fishheadsclub.com web site which will be live and buzzing next month.

The big news is that the Convention at Leamington Spa is gaining a momentum and taking a fine shape.

I can confirm that "It Bites" will be special guests on the Saturday and "The Reasoning" will be the special guests on the Sunday night. Both bands will be onstage at 7pm on the respective nights with my full electric band on at 8.45.

I will be performing an acoustic set on the Saturday afternoon and on Sunday afternoon there will be a screening of the "Electric Man" movie with a Q and A session with actors, director and writers after.

Doors on Saturday will be at 12 followed by an introduction and an in depth Q and A with myself.

Doors on Sunday will be at 1pm.

Various film footage from across the eras and projects will be screened throughout the weekend as "fillers" between other events which will include a return of "The Grumpy Old Musicians" and "Weakest Link" with special guests. Further attractions are to be added in the coming weeks together with more details on timings and other activities.

My set list will include some rarities as well as a performance of what should be the entire "Feast of Consequences" album over the 2 nights.

I have also decided to put together an arrangement of "Grendel" for a one off performance :-))

Tickets will be available in 2 weeks time and are priced at £60 (inc vat) for a weekend laminate which will get holders into the Assembly rooms for the Saturday and Sunday events and the evening performances.

The laminates will be individually numbered and come with a special lanyard. They must be retained throughout the weekend and will be "punched" on the relevant days.

Only weekend laminates will be on sale with individual performance only tickets made available on the night at the door should there be spaces.Individual tickets will not be available
in advance.

Laminates are only available through the website mail order service at www.fish-thecompany.com.

When ordering you must supply your name and the names of anyone you are ordering for as I plan to put a project together from the weekend and would like to have all the attendees involved! :-)

More information and further details will be posted next week when I get back from the tour and there will be a special page on the web site with a FAQ section to hopefully answer any questions you may have.

It's all coming together nicely! :-)

You can go to the fishheadsclub.com web site now and register your e mail address and you will be sent updates and blogs directly to your mailbox as the convention develops as well as other news and relative Fishy info on releases of the Fishheads Club projects as they move into production.

Spread the word!!

I think Rab's looking forward to it! :)

What can I say? I was sure it saw supermarkets loading packets of bacon into giant cannons and firing them into the atmosphere.

Great support… tracks from the new album played over both nights… Grendel… Plus all the extra bits! It's going to be an amazing weekend, and I defy anyone who would dare to disagree.

For Conan's sake I hope he plays Grendel on the Saturday night :)
